A Holy Burden

Nehemiah 1:1–4
Before Nehemiah ever rebuilt a wall, God broke his heart. This message walks through the opening verses of Nehemiah, where a man’s ordinary day becomes the birthplace of divine purpose. When Nehemiah hears of Jerusalem’s ruins, he doesn’t turn away; he weeps, fasts, and prays. Out of that holy burden comes the foundation for revival, restoration, and calling.
This sermon calls us to look honestly at the brokenness around us, not with apathy but with compassion that leads to action. A holy burden isn’t about guilt; it’s about alignment with God’s heart for His people and His city.
